Harvest Information

The lead-up to the 2025 vintage was shaped by record-breaking winter rains, which replenished the soil and nurtured healthy vine growth. A dry spring and summer followed, easing disease pressure and allowing for optimal canopy management. Cooler ripening conditions throughout the season helped achieve balanced phenolic development, resulting in wines with refined structure, vibrant acidity, and expressive fruit character.

Winemaking

This wine is a carefully crafted blend of three distinct terroirs: old-vine parcels from Franschhoek add depth and texture, high-altitude vineyards in Stellenbosch bring freshness and aromatic lift, and dryland blocks from the Swartland contribute structure and intensity. Each region brings its own unique character, resulting in a wine that is layered, complex, and truly distinctive.

Winemaker's Note

Crafted from select vineyards, the grapes were destemmed, gently crushed and pressed to a settling tank. Fermentation occurred in stainless steel tanks using selected yeast strains to preserve purity of fruit. The wine was kept on its lees for six months prior to blending, enhancing its texture and complexity.
